All work with no play makes jack a dull boy, right? After weeks of formal outfit posts, I thought I should drop this here as a break, so as to catch a breath because we have been going to work since the year started and we all need that rest, from work outfits of course, lol. Also, Thank God Easter holidays are almost here, we will get some rest. Rest is important.

Over the weekend, I went for brunch with my girlfriend and this is how I rocked the meet-up. I’m not a huge fan of breezy and chic dresses but there are those days when I feel girly, days when I want to be a slay queen and serve people some light skin and body. These was one of those days. The weather in Mombasa has been playing games on us, the heat here will make you want to walk naked yet outside looks like it’ll rain the next hour. It rained for two days, early in the morning, two weeks ago and that is how it left us, heating up despite the ocean breeze! Wait, there’s no breeze too. The ocean is calm, sigh! I’m not complaining though, because the sun that is usually in Mombasa is hot enough to barberque our black skin, lol! I love how this cute off-shoulder dress is stylish, girly and has trends going on like the stripes, off-shoulder, front button. But guys, this is a breezy dress for sure, I was literally walking while holding down the dress the whole damn time. See, why I don’t wear dresses? Tomboy for life. Anyho, I added a black belt for contrast and accentuation of the waist. This look gave me a ladylike statement effortlessly. Such an easy dress to style.

Brunch was fine, I got to catch up with my friend whom I haven’t seen in months, and we had a lot to talk about. From the hang-out, I left there a motivated person because I have been feeling a little bit unmotivated for a while now. She also encouraged me to pray a lot and that everything works in God’s time. I need that kind of pep talk and a distraction from a lot of things. I’m really excited for her that she’s going to South Africa next month. Isn’t God amazing?

Btw, it rained this morning. Seems like the chilly weather is back, time for layering. 🙂

See you on the next post, Xo.

Whole look Thrifted.          Bag: Store Bought.
