If I had to pick a trend for 2017, taking inspiration from the seventies, it’s one item that I have been seeing creeping in lately, the A-line button-front, and as a skirt, it’s hard to beat for practicality and versatility. A high waist, button-front ‘70s spin that’s making this century version so much cooler. Remember the jean skirts everyone obsessed over back in the days? I never thought I’d wear one again, and in a hilarious twist of fashion fate, this A-line button down denim skirts have been making a major comeback. The skirt suits best almost anyone, it is versatile and super stylish.
My style is usually unique, simple, stylish and comfortable. That’s all I try to gather when pairing out any outfit for whatever occasion and I ended up with this look recently when I was going to run errands at the mall, the other day. I like the look with a top tucked in, and this black turtleneck was my minimalist take on the trend. I’m also wearing one of my favorite pairs of sneakers currently, you’ll see them more, lol! Though I bought this skirt back in 2014, hehe, it’s years old but still trendy and fits me well, I ripped it to stay streetwise, as it is my style signature, and added a belt as an accessory. I love how the contrasting the skirt color is, something that brings out its simplicity and structure. You can throw on a bomber jacket, and some thigh-high boots, depending on your styling preferences.
The button down Denim Skirt is a true style icon that is quintessential retro-vibe. If you come across one, pick it and slay away on the streets with this trend. Xoxo ♥
