Hello my internet people! It’s a celebration here today because, yes, we are 1yr old!! Isn’t it amazing! I thank God for this far.
Well, as much as it is a celebration, I must admit that it hasn’t been a walk in the park. Taking on this journey, I knew it will be hard but I just didn’t know how hard! Like literally! But well, it’s all because of your support. I really do appreciate it guys and always being here….Much love ♥
There are days when I felt like giving up, days that I felt like I’m not doing much. There are also days that I was questioning why I actually started it in the first place simply because running a blog is so much demanding and involving. From photo shoots, to picking locations, to website crashing, writing posts in time…so many things happen before a post goes public. You really have to plan and organize yourself well otherwise you won’t go much far.
Despite all that, I’m grateful that I actually took this journey. It has been an amazing year through it and I have learned quite some few things more so about blogging. Going in, I was as green. I didn’t have the ropes on how to go about it, though I asked some few friends who are in the IT sectors and with their help, I managed to get the hang of it and I thank God. I still have a lot more to learn but I can confidently say I know few things about this business.
One main lesson I have learned so far, is to trust the journey and patience. Those two things have played a huge role hence this far. There are so many different bloggers in my niche, those who are pros now and have been doing it for a while now, those who are struggling along the way and those who are in the beginner stage like me. All of them started from somewhere. You may feel like you are not doing as good as the others but just believe in yourself and trust the journey. Everything takes time and with a lot of hard work and dedication, you will reach your goal. I also learned that there are those days you will feel down, uninspired and unmotivated. Such days happen even in real life too but we don’t give up, do we? Just take a pause, cool down, retract your steps and pick up from where you left. You will be surprised at how you bounce back better and more focused.
Lastly I learned that not everyone will support you, and that’s fine. You only need yourself to be your own cheerleader because only you understands how much you want it and how far you want to go. Trust and believe that there’s someone somewhere who will/is motivated and inspired by your journey. My friends barely read my posts, and that’s ok because I understand how people are and I don’t hate nor question them. It is what it is, you know.
Overall, we made it this far and that is an achievement! To me it is because most people give up after realizing the input needed but I’m here and giving up is not an option for me. I’m really grateful for your support guys, you have no idea! Your comments, motivation and feedback keeps me going and here we are. This New Year, I promise to post better content and also include other categories and not just fashion. Whatever it is that you want me to blog about, leave it at the comment section and I’ll work to deliver. So once again, thank you. Cheers to one. Xo.
ION: Isn’t my jumpsuit fancy! I loved the color and it’s simplicity. It has a lace detail at the back and the draw-strings makes it stylish. Since I got it, it has been my favorite and I’m loving yellow pieces more. Such a simple and easy outfit to style.
