Hey Fam! I’m back from my forced break! The blog kept crushing and am happy that’s behind us now and I couldn’t be any much happier because am back with a new look (I hope you guys like it). So much good things in store, interesting styles and fashion and one of them is the current trend, the Embroidery.

One of today’s hottest trends, both on the runway and on the streets, is the embroidery trend. Recently, this artful trend made a fierce comeback! This style has been making quite a statement on the runways and the high street and fashionistas are flocking in droves to get their hands on the latest style. The unique, intricate and colorful detail will make any outfit pop and is a change from the norm.

I have always loved the look of embroidered pieces just because they look so much more intricate and detailed. A lot of work goes into hand-embroidering details onto clothes which is why you’ll sometimes find that most embroidered pieces carry a steeper price tag compared to their non-embroidered versions. Luckily for me, the thrift market saved my pocket as I’m now able to slay the trend without digging deeper in my pocket. I paired the embroidered skirt with a detailed blouse to bring the color contrast to the whole look with a minimal styling.

One of the most popular embroidery styles that you’ll find on clothes are floral embroidery designs, like the ones on this skirt. These adds a nice hint of feminine vibes to your outfit and makes it look more girly and just a tad more romantic.

If you’re not the type to go for loud statements, you can also opt to wear the embroidery trend in a subtler way and that is to opt for pieces with minimal embroidery details. You’ll find cute tops and dresses, bags and shoes with subtle but impactful embroidery designs on the hem, the sleeves, the pockets or other strategic areas that just take the rather simple piece to a whole new level.

Today, there is a resurgence in the use of embroidery within the fashion world and this has seen high-end designers such as Alexander McQueen or Gucci all using embroidery in their latest creations. Don’t be left out, just get your embroidery pieces and slay your look just like the runway queens. Xoxo.
