I can’t wait for this month to end already! I have not been feeling it since it started and it’s dragging much, I’m literally over it! Nothing exciting about it. I have been trying to find ways of doing exciting things that’ll leave me happy for days but guys, I’m really struggling! Though as always, an outfit sometimes does the trick and this one today was not an exception even though it’s not really my go-to style. I rarely do Ankara maxis but I’m huge on head wraps so the combination of both was such a good idea.
I think one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing is a maxi skirt (or dress). You can just throw it on, the fabric is usually soft and lightweight, and it is such a versatile piece. Most styles of maxi skirts fit snug but are still loose enough to walk in. The best thing about a maxi skirt, though, is that you can wear it any time of year and thankfully, the weather now calls for it. I simply styled mine with the black turtle neck top so as to create a perfect backdrop for the Ankara skirt. And what’s an Ankara piece without a head wrap? My whole look sums up the question!
The thing that is so cool about these Ankara pieces is that they are reminiscent of our African culture and our motherland. We can never be proud enough to own such luxurious fabrics and still slay perfectly in them. Happy week ahead! Xoxo.♥
