Finally we are here. My inspiration behind the starting of this journey is simply my friends and colleagues who really love and enjoy my sense of style and fashion. I get compliments from them and even strangers which is really encouraging, followed by a common question “where do you shop your outfits?” and they never believe me that it’s all thrifting. I therefore decided to give blogging a chance and share with everyone out there my simple yet fashionable style that never goes out of season.

My style is simple, chic, street-style and comfortable yet fashionable and trendy, and most of my wardrobe is sourced through thrifting, based on inspirations and aspirations from sassy street styling.

Well, I love being unique and the thrift market has helped me in achieving that all along. My closet is 90% thrifted! From shoes, outfits, bags/handbags, some household items e g curtains, house decors name them. Not that I cannot afford shopping designer clothes or shop at retail stores but men, I just love thrift markets! And my style is not limited to thrift only! Thrift shopping for me is really just an extension of me being that same kid going into a place that’s completely unconventional and that has endless possibilities in terms of outfits that you can put together and really just express yourself.

Some people think thrift clothes are not-so-stylish, cheap old and less classy, but no, they were lied to. Thrift outfits are actually durable, unique, have better quality too and timeless pieces too. Most people hate the idea of rummaging through heaps and lumps of clothes in the scorching sun, dust and open air so they’ll opt for fashion stores and malls but that’s them.

Like I always tell my friends, you don’t have to have a lot of money to look good; also you don’t have to save months and months for that one outfit, thrift market always does the trick and sorts you out!! For me it’s not all about thrift shopping rather it’s about being thrifty.
I live to thrift, partially out of necessity, but more so for the thrill of the hunt. There’s a gap in the fashion world — there’s no place for those who can’t (or won’t) afford luxe items… but never fear! Thrifting is the answer. A true fashionista is not the brands that she wears, but instead her style and the way she creates a look. Anyone can buy fashion, but only a person with style can make clothes look good. I am not the most fashionable person in the world, but I am hoping my blog will motivate anyone to go thrift or try thrifting (for those who don’t) because thrifting is for all ages, sizes and pocket-size!

I hope you enjoy and get inspired.
